First Tee - Connecticut offers several scholarships that are available to young people active within the chapter. Since 2006 over $650,000 in awards have been given annually to qualified students at all grade levels. The Class of 2026 included 34 amazing young people!

ShopRite LPGA Classic Scholarship Opportunity

As part of the ShopRite LPGA Classic’s 2025 charitable impact ShopRite (officially owned by Wakefern) partnered with First Tee to offer an incredible opportunity to one (1) deserving member of the Class of 2026 from each of twelve (12) First Tee chapters in the region.

The 2026 scholarship application is now available and one (1) winner from our chapter will be chosen to receive a $5,000 scholarship and an invitation to attend the scholarship presentation during the final round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic in Galloway, NJ. *Please note that in-person attendance on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday May 31 will be required to receive the scholarship.

First Tee College Scholarship Program

First Tee’s Scholars Program is a national program that supports selected alumni throughout their college career. The need and merit-based program provides financials scholarships, professional development workshops, and access to internships or full-time employment placement post-graduation. One of the key factors of the program is pairing Scholars with a dedicated adult mentor who will help encourage and guide them throughout the four years.

The program is open to graduating high school seniors planning to attend college the following year. Applicants must be active members of a First Tee chapter and will be considered based on financial need, academic performance, chapter involvement, volunteerism and other criteria.

Financial Aid

  • Group Lessons
    • During the spring, summer and fall we offer group lessons where we expose First Tee’s curriculum. Where we help strengthen character, kids will learn life skills that stay with them into the rest of their lives all through the game of golf.   • Summer Camp
    • During First Tee – Connecticut’s Summer Camp participants are exposed to a four day experience that includes golf instruction, exposure to First Tee’s Life Skills curriculum and on-course activities.
