New staff and roles to expand reach, enhance brand, drive engagement
Cromwell, Conn. (Monday, December 11) – Aiming to enhance its investment in staff resources and ensure organizational growth, First Tee – Connecticut is pleased to announce new team members and the evolved roles of existing staff. In addition, First Tee adds one new board member to help drive its growth statewide.
The moves highlight the growth and maturity of the organization not only in the Hartford Region, but throughout the entire state. According to CEO, Mark Moriarty, First Tee is embarking on an effort to expand its reach in lower Fairfield County, which has been part of its service area since 2017. In the last couple of years, First Tee has launched partnerships with the Stamford Public Schools, the Greenwich Boys & Girls Club, the Greenwich YMCA and Horizons at Brunswick Academy to create access and opportunity for young people engaged in these organizations.
“Fairfield County is a relatively new frontier for our chapter and we are eager to expand our resources there,” says Moriarty. “The addition of a new staff member responsible for engagement with donors in the community is a significant step forward as we work to increase our impact in the county, specifically among underserved and underrepresented young people in Stamford, Greenwich and Norwalk.”
The staff changes and updates at First Tee’s Cromwell headquarters include:
- Mark Moriarty (Bristol), Executive Director to CEO
- Mark Murnane (Avon), Director of Programs to Vice President of Programs
- Marsha Rupp (Suffield), new Vice President of Communications and Events
