STATEMENT REGARDING CORONAVIRUS COVID-19

First Tee – Connecticut’s top priority is the health and safety of our participants, employees, coaches and volunteers across the state. We continue to monitor all available information related to the continued spread of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19. While program have resumed, be assured that we remain in close contact with local, state and national Departments of Health to determine local risk and plans to help prevent the spread of this illness. Our chapter follows all restrictions and hygiene precautions from the CDC and U.S. Department of State and may make adjustments to program activities as warranted.  We also continue to monitor what local school districts, park departments and other youth service agencies are communicating and planning.

Winter Programs – In accordance with the state’s guidelines for Low Risk, indoor sports for youth we are planning to conduct a moderate level of programming after January 1.  Please visit our Winter Program page for more details.  At this time all In School programs have been suspended for the winter.

First Tee – Connecticut Offices – In accordance with Governor Lamont’s Reopen Connecticut Guidelines, the David & Geri Epstein Learning Center in Cromwell will be open for regular business hours (Monday – Friday; 9:00 – 4:30) beginning Wednesday, May 20.  Some of our staff will continue to work from home when possible.  ALL visitors must wear a mask or face covering while indoors.

2021 Outdoor Programs – Our hope is that we will continue to have ability to host regular opportunities at all locations across the state. Family Play at the Karl Krapek Family Learning Links in Cromwell will be available beginning in late April.

Summer Camp – Based on the current guidance from the Office of Early Childhood Summer Camp will be held with full enrollment (28 participants) and limited changes from prior summers.

  • Participant Check-In/Drop Off and Check-Out/Pick Up
  • Coach and Participant Interaction
  • Parent Observation
  • Bathrooms
  • Equipment
  • Activity Stations

Regional Travel Advisory & 14-Day Quarantine – Effective 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, anyone traveling into Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey from a state that has a new daily positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents or a state with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average are directed to self-quarantine for a 14-day period from the time of last contact within the identified state.  This 14-day quarantine upon return to CT INCLUDES participation in First Tee of Connecticut programs.  Please contact our office if this will impact your ability to participate this summer; (860) 882-1660 or [email protected].
